History

Our founders have been actively involved with rescuing animals for over 15 years. In 2015 after working as an Animal Control officer for many years with different agencies one of our founders decided he was going to start a rescue with the help of his wife. Over the years they have rescued many horses, dogs, cats, and numerous other animals. They have provided the much necessary care these animals needed. They have done all of this at their own expense. The Stamps team became a Non-Profit Organization in August of 2021. Deron Stamps owner of the rescue has witnessed first-hand the brutality that these animals all too often must endure. The team works tirelessly to save lives and give these helpless souls a chance in life. Today a lot of animals come through our gates well they are well on their way to a better life. However, not all the animals we rescue are victims of abuse. Unfortunately, it is a lot of owners that must give up their pets due to not being able to provide for them. We graciously take them in and give them a loving home. We love all animals, and we are going to rescue as many as we can.

Stamps Performance Horses & Rescue Mission

Stamps Performance Horses & Rescue is a non-profit organization that is committed to providing humane treatment for all animals through education, research, and quality care. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and facilitate the adoption of neglected and abused animals in Mississippi and the surrounding states. We strive to find homes for as many animals as financially feasible. We are dedicated to rehabilitating these animals for a second chance for a healthy productive life. Our team advocates for the neglected, those that are left at auctions or donated to Stamps Performance Horses & Rescue. Our mission remains clear and constant to 1. Educate animal owners on the actual responsibilities involved in care 2. Legislate for the humane treatment of animals 3. Find the appropriate homes for these rescued animals.
